I don't love working out

Done is better than perfect.

I didn't want to go to CrossFit today. I haven't wanted to wake up at 5:15am to workout in a month.

So I haven't. I needed rest after working 7 days/ week all spring.

I thought I would be motivated & inspired to get back to working out. I'm a healthcare provider. I should love healthy activities.

Dr. Rebekah Bruner at CrossFit

Here's the truth: I don't.

You know what I do love? Not being winded walking up 3 flights of stairs.

Not feeling anxious throughout my day.

That feeling of accomplishment that I completed a tough workout I didn't think I could.

Grapevine CrossFit WOD

Being able to carry the dog food bag with ease.

I was really touched by a podcast I listed to this week that professional athlete Gabby Reece said she wants to workout less than 50% of the time!!! 50%!!!!!

So hear this loud & clear:

You don't have to be inspired to workout.

You don't have to love working out.

You don't have to be the best.

You can be the most grumpy, spastic squirrel in the workout (me).

You just have to get it done. Because YOU are worth a healthy body that doesn't crumble at 60 or develop a chronic preventable disease.
